Tier 2 (General) is for skilled workers with a specific job offer. This category has replaced Work Permits (although Work Permits are still running for Bulgarian and Romanian nationals). It is possible to apply from the UK or abroad. Tier 2 (Intra-Company Transfer) is for employees for international companies who are being transferred from overseas to a UK-based branch of a company. Tier 2 (Sportsperson) is for internationally established sports people people and coaches who will make a substantial controbution to the development of their sport in the UK. Tier 2 (Minister of Religion) is for people who are coming to the UK to work within a religious organisation. ALL APPLICANTS applying for a Tier 2 visa have to provide biometric data (fingerprints and facial image). We can advise on the rules, check the documents and forms. Then you can either book an appointment for same-day decision at Home Office, attend it in person and provide the required biometrics at the same time. Or we can submit applications for postal service and the Home Office would then send a letter inviting you (and dependants) to provide biometrics at one of 17 post-offices nationwide (without appointments, post-office charges £8); or at one of 7 biometric enrolment centres (by appointment).
