Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) and Tier 1 (Investor) can only be applied by post. Tier 1 (General) is for Highly Skilled Workers and their family members. This category has replaced HSMP visas. You can apply anytime you wish (no need to wait for the last 3 months on your current HSMP visa). A job offer is not required for this category. Points are awarded for Skills/Qualifications, English language and Funds. An initial visa is issued for 3 years, then another visa can be issued for 2 years providing an extension visa Points-Based Test is met. This is a relatively new visa category, introduced in 2008. However, we have already compiled various successful expereiences with different types of clients: those who are employed, self-employed, self-employed with their own companies, both employed and self-employed. Tier 1 (Post-Study Work) is for graduates from UK universities to enable them to work in the UK when they've completed their studies. Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) is for business people and their family members. Tier 1 (Investor) is for people who are looking to invest in the United Kingdom.
