UK VISAS, IMMIGRATION ADVICE & BRITISH CITIZENSHIP
POINTS-BASED SYSTEM VISAS
VISAS UNDER EUROPEAN LAW
New Immigration Rules: from 6 April 2016 Tier 2 General migrants, who are applying for ILR, must be paid a minimum salary of £35,000 plus absences are calculated in the different way for ILR applicants in the Points-Based System routes. A business plan continues to be compulsory for initial applications for a Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) visa and we provide such service! Health surcharge is extended to Australian and New Zealand nationals. There are also different rules towards confirming overseas degrees, which are often used to meet the English language requirement for Spouse/Partner visas. Previous changes: from 12 November 2015 EU/EEA nationals and direct family members have to apply for permanent residency first if they wish to subsequently apply for British Citizenship (before that it was voluntary). Those applying for a Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) or (Investor) visa from outside the UK need to provide an overseas criminal certificate. Tier 1 (General) extensions are no longer possible but ILR applications can be made until 6 April 2018. For individual advice book our Advice Session now!
